an oasis of peace and tranquility, located in the wonderful town of Adel, Iowa. Soothing music, aromatherapy, and a heated table await you. Every massage is tailored to your needs, whether you want to relax or need a healing touch.
Massage has been an important part of medicine for over five thousand years. It is also a major topic in the first medical texts printed. It has been said to be the most natural and instinctive means of relieving pain. It is our natural instinct to touch, press, and rub aching muscles, bruises, and wounds.
Debra says, “I believe in better health and living through massage. I have seen first hand how massage can enhance health and speed the healing process. I have great respect for the human body, we are so wonderfully created.”
Orthopedic massage utilizes a unique multidisciplinary treatment approach by combining the most advanced techniques in structural bodywork to assure freedom from pain.
The application of massage directly affects the structure and functions of the human body, such as stretching the muscle tissue, loosening adhesions and scar tissue, loosening of soft tissue around joints and increased local circulation of venous blood and lymph.
One of the most important purposes of receiving massage is to promote functional improvement in the recipient’s body.
Massage can be used to treat many different conditions. Be sure to ask me about a treatment plan that is right for you. Your comfort is my main concern. If you are not comfortable, you cannot relax and get the full benefits of a massage.
When you come in for a treatment, your treatment will be explained and you are free to ask any questions you have before, during or after your treatment Your body is draped with a sheet at all times except for the part which is being massaged. If you are not comfortable with removing your clothing, Thai massage is a great alternative. With Thai massage, you remain fully clothed while receiving your treatment on a mat on the floor.
The amount of pressure I use depends on you. Feel free to speak up and let me know if you are uncomfortable at any time. Your therapy session is important to both of us!
